Advice Letter to yourself

Dear Grade 8 self,

Some advice that I wish I had given myself in in the previous years would be that, it is very important to be yourself. You do not need anyone's un-asked advice on what you should do or be. In grade 8 it might seem tough on how one should pick their friends. One should be friends with someone who is always there for them and encourages them, and not be friends with someone because of their popularity. I think it is very important to have the right set of friends so that they can guide you through your five crucial years of high school. Furthermore, I wish I had not complicated issues and things too much. For instance, I should have tried to "open up" more by joining clubs and extra-curricular activities, such as; dance, sport teams, and community work. So by participating in more extra-curricular activities not only would I have been more skilled, but also more outgoing, which is a great way to make new friends too! In addition, one quote you should always follow is, "treat others the way you wish to be treated." Which means. If you do not have anything nice or wise to say, then do not say anything at all. Last, always try your best and work hard. By following these simple tips anyone can have a smooth and memorable time in high school!

Sincerely,

Your Grade 12 self
